Today, let’s delve into an important teaching from Neville Goddard, focusing on a profound concept at the core of his manifestation teachings – living in the end.
The full lecture is available here, and here is the recorded audio of him speaking:
Here’s a practical breakdown of his teaching/lecture:
- We Are One With The Universe
Neville starts by asserting that we often separate man from God, but we need to realize that they’re one and the same. Drawing from the Book of John, he illustrates that the creative power of God, the Word, is WITHIN us. In other words, you aren’t separate from the universe’s manifesting energy – you ARE that energy; in other words, you ARE God. We all are.
- Imagination Is The Key
One of Neville’s main teachings is that our imagination is the essence of God’s creative power. So when you imagine (whether you’re visualizing or using any other senses to do it), you’re invoking that power. He challenges us to assume the state of the person we’d like to be, even if (or especially if) our current 3D reality suggests otherwise. This is very similar to the infamous “Fake it till you make it” concept we’ve all heard about. If you want to be successful, wealthy, lucky, etc., begin by imagining what it FEELS like to actually BE that. When you embody that feeling, the universe, working through your imagination, will begin to manifest it. However, it’s of vital importance that you believe in the reality of your imaginal act in order for it to come to fruition.
- The Power Of Persistence
Next, Neville emphasizes the significance of persistence. Assuming a desired state isn’t a one-time act (at least, not usually). If you truly want to manifest something, you must live in that assumption, continually embodying the feelings and beliefs associated with it. If you remain dedicated to your imagined state, despite challenges or contradictory evidence, it will eventually become your reality. A dream visualized but not believed in is unlikely to materialize. But a dream consistently imagined and coupled with belief will “harden into fact.” So, even though not all of us love having to be persistent (I’m sure I’m not the only one who’s not a fan of persistence ;)), it can’t be disregarded if you’re serious about your manifestation practice.
- You’re The Author Of Your Reality
Neville also reminds us that we absolutely do have the autonomy to create our own reality, because we are the operant power. Again, imagination and persistence are essential for manifesting what we desire. He urges us to focus on the end – on our goals and aspirations – and not be swayed by temporary obstacles or 3D circumstances. By imagining and feeling the joy of our goals as already achieved, we set in motion a series of events in the universe to make it happen.
In a way, “Live in the End” is an empowering call to action. It reminds us that the power to manifest our dreams isn’t outside of us; it lies within, in our ability to imagine and believe. By understanding and utilizing this power, we can shape our reality in ways we could have only dreamt of. The process itself is not complicated, but it’s still not always easy to stay persistent with it, and that’s one of the reasons why manifesting often doesn’t work, so I encourage you to make it a part of your routine and not give up! Test it for yourself, persist, and before you know it, you will become a master manifestor in your own life!
