I am excited to share an extraordinary near-death experience (NDE) story by Louisa Peck. Her inspiring journey from atheism and struggling with alcoholism to profound spiritual awakening, guided by her guardian angel, once again, shows us there is so much more to our 3D reality than we usually think.
Name: Louisa Peck
Age: 63 (almost 64)
Location: Seattle
Louisa’s NDE
I overdosed on lidocaine sold to me as cocaine in 1982 at a Manhattan nightclub when I was 22. I traveled through a beautiful landscape to a house that I knew was a waystation for my ancestors and me. I flew over the ocean with an accompanying presence and into the Sun, where I experienced the tremendous love of the Light. I was then told, You cannot stay; you’re not done yet. Everything cut to black And I had a sensation of falling.
Though I denied my experience to maintain my alcoholism, my angel intervened 12 years later by telling me, this is the last time I can help you, and you do right from wrong. Gradually, I accepted the reality of my NDE and spirit guide.
How has your experience affected your spiritual beliefs or practices?
Only after 23 years and many, many paranormal experiences did I come to understand that the other side is real, and not only had I crossed over into it, but I had come back with damage to whatever filter normally blocks out spirit energies. I gradually came to understand that the voice I was hearing was my guide, the same one who had held me in the light during my NDE. I now call him Egnacio, though I can tell he rolls his spirit eyes, so to speak, at the very notion of “names,” since such code is not needed on the other side where telepathy is instantaneous. I now speak with him constantly, and sense the ultimate love of Source beyond him.
Have you noticed any changes in your personality or abilities since your NDE/OBE? How has your experience influenced your relationships with others?
Changes came, not after my NDE, but once I accepted that the other side had been real, not hallucination. Thanks to Egnacio, I’ve gone from being addicted to alcohol and relationships to sober and happily single. I enjoy many friendships and am able to see both the toddler and the spirit in others.
What was the most challenging part of integrating your NDE/OBE into your everyday life?
All family members and several of my friends think I am deluded or embellishing.
Do you feel a sense of purpose or mission as a result of your NDE/OBE?
My mission is kindness! I understand that every kind thought and deed radiates out to affect others, as does every negative thought and deed.
What advice would you give to someone who is skeptical about NDEs/OBEs?
Many aspects of NDE cannot be explained, such as seeing only people who have died, the common features, messages counter to what we want to hear. To think so many people are so foolish as to mistake hallucination for something more real than earthly consciousness – that takes a lot of hubris!
Did you gain any specific insights or important messages during your NDE/OBE that have stayed with you and you would like to share with others?
I gained many pieces of knowledge as after-effect communications from my angel.
Are there any resources you would recommend to someone who has had an NDE/OBE but is still new to this topic? Any advice for them?
